Absolutely. Also, given it is such a large piece, there is a strong possibility (not an absolute certainty) that he was personally involved in it's making.

What is a flame logo?

The label on my piece is square.

The "flame logo" is the mark impressed into the blob of glass put over the pontil scar, Paul.

(see the website address for an image... - it appears in the address line though I can't find it on the new site!)
http://www.isleofwightstudioglass.co.uk/index.html

It is the enormous beasts such as Suzy's which may have had Michael Harris' hand in their making, I am even less sure about the smaller ones.
However, Pink and Blue swirls was made between '74 and '76, when the flame logo was used, you sometimes find it in conjunction with a long white label with
"Hand Made
Isle of Wight
England"
on it, with another small rectangular label with a black flame logo printed on it.

Triangular labels came in in 'approximately '78, flame prunt marks mostly went out around '79.

However, when a piece is sold from their Archive Collection, it is given a label contemporary with the time it was sold, along with being engraved "IoW Glass, England".
Perhaps this is how your piece got a square label, Paul? How big is your globe?

Thank you for the explanation, I appreciate it.  The vase I have isn't very big, around 5 inches tall.

Thanks Anton for the link, see know why it's got loads of bubbles within the glass.
Suzy, why do I think of you when I look at the attenuated bottle in Anton's link :sun:
