Buyer needs confirmation of attribution
« on: July 05, 2010, 01:28:36 PM »
I have this weight up for sale on ebay now. And a couple of potential buyers have asked for confirmation of my attribution. I've assured them that it is NEGC but to no avail. So would y'all chime in and confirm or challenge my attribution so that maybe one of the question askers will "pull the trigger" and buy it?

The green canes are actually green zanfirico twist canes laid on end.

I'm pretty sure it's NEGC - I have NEGC weights with matching canes, some of them are well known NEGC canes.

addg, the weight you are offering is indeed a very nice NEGC scramble for a most fair asking price.  I've posted a link to Selman's Fall 2009 Paperweight Auction, specifically Lot 96, which is a NEGC scramble that sold for $500.  It should be helpful if one wishes to compare your weight to it.

Hi, NEGC scrambles can go for $35-$150 on eBay - depending on the canes and condition.

Silhouette canes increase the values quite a bit, the Selman one had three running rabbit silhouettes.

Your paperweight appears to be in excellent condition and has some nice canes in it so $125 isn't totally unreasonable,
a bit too rich for me tho, but I am a bit cheap  ;)
