Scandinavian Purple bottle - Aseda ?
« on: July 08, 2010, 05:40:29 PM »
Do you every get that feeling! When no matter how hard you search there will always be a piece of glass which will remain a complete mystery. Well I think I have found one. I have spent months looking for this bottle only to come up empty handed. OK I thought if was Riihimaki/Riihimaen Oy lasi may have been by Tynell But not! I have looked into Other Finnish glass marks and cannot find much!

Anyway
The encased bottle is drop dead gorgeous, In a vivid purple with a naked women decorating the main body of the bottle. The vase leans with the  flowing figure. The bottle stands at 7.5" and the width is 2.25" There is also moulding on the back .
The pontil is indented and polished. I hope the images do it justice.

No direct leads - but I could imagine you've convinced yourself of Scandinavia and excluded other options - like Empoli, like Oberglas Austria, like ARC or like Bormioli.

Thanks Andy it is so frustrating. I do know even if I cannot find the designer and factory. It's still a really nice piece of glass
