Cut glass vase, moulded (?) vase and a sun catcher.

These were bought this weekend.

Crystal cut glass vase just over 8" high.  I was convinced this was Whitefriars, and checked through their catalogues on the WF site.  Very similar ones there but couldn't get a definite pattern match - unless my eyes deceive me    It has a star cut base - weighs 1 kg.  A quality piece with age related wear on base.  Any ideas please?

Moulded (I think) vase with vertical cut panels. Initially thought this might be Czech, but it has a star cut base.  Possibly French?  Any ideas again would be appreciated.

I know Whitefriars made sunspots, but this sun catcher features a lion.  Did Holmegaard make these?

Many thanks.

The sun-catcher looks very Holmegaard to me, although I don't recognise the pattern.  :)

Not sure who made these but most likely candidates for this pressed vase are indeed Arques and Empoli. Over here there is one in every charity shop, and they come in different sizes. The design is brilliant, but the quantity produced somewhat affects the aftermarket.

Thanks Ivo :P   I agree, the design is brilliant 8) , but to me it's let down by the quality of the glass some how.  Shame really.  Still a good looking piece though in a well lit area where it comes alive more.
