Any ideas as to maker would be much appreciated
The vase stands about 9" / 23cm tall and is a deep grey / charcoal colour

I've seen one very like this recently!  I nearly bought one in clear, but the corners looked as if they had been ground down to hide damage.  Does yours have 'ground down' corners?

I think the maker was Johansfors Glasbruk

Hi Shompi,
I have a different vase with the same signature and I concur with Leni.
Johansfors Glasbruk.
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Hi Leni,
Yes the corners are 'ground down' but very evenly and quite shallow, so could be the original finish rather than a 'repair'

Leni / Deltab
Thanks for the suggestion as to artist, i'll do some searching and see what I can find !

Leni...I think you could be right.   :D  :D  :D

I didn't recognise this style, but going from Ivo's book, Johanfors, a Swedish company did sign items JG plus the pattern number plus the designers surname.  No surname there, but Johanfors is probable I should think.

Big high five to you Leni.   :D

Yay! :D Thanks, Max!  It feels good to get something right, for once!

(And to remember something I've seen!   The loss of memory was begining to worry me, as the years advance!     )

Hi all,

Just found another vase with the same moulding pattern but different shape which is described as Johanfors c1970 so I think you've come up trumps
