Lace Edge Plate
« on: December 07, 2005, 12:38:51 AM »
Hello and good evening glassies.  Went to an auction Sat. and came home with a whole truck (not truNk) full of glass and pottery  .  I'm having trouble with some pieces (naturally) -- this one is a very pretty little (7") plate with open lace edge rim with little golden flowers.  Would anyone out there have any idea what/who/where/when???

Thanks :D

Karnac was a character played by an American comedian, Johnny Carson.  The long time host of "The Tonight Show".  Carson would dress up in a turban and cape. His straight man, Ed McMahon, would hand him an envelope.  Carson would put it to his head mimicing telepathic powers.  He would give the "answer" to the question in the envelope.  Then McMahon would tear open the envelope and read the question.  It was all jokes and one of his funniest skits.

Sorry for the American humor  :D
