Help identifying my cool glass chef - ID = Orrefors
« on: July 20, 2010, 05:59:47 PM »
Hi there, I wondered if anyone could help in identifying my glass chef. It's heavy, clear glass. I think it's molded and it has an etched mark - of - on the base. Thanks to anyone who can throw some light on it.

Hi and welcome to the gmb!

Perhaps Orrefors? I imagine somebody who knows far more than I do will come along and be able to help more than I can.

Orrefors, definetly. Part of a range called "Skråyrken" ("Guilds", roughly). There are also blacksmiths, glass workers, etc.

Best Regards
Emil

Thankyou both for your quick responses. What a surprise. I bought it for its fun value more than anything but I shall enjoy learning a bit more about it now, who knows, it may be the start of another little collection. :-) Thanks again.
