Who made this dish?
« on: December 07, 2005, 09:20:56 AM »
Hi All,
I have here an 18cm dessert/bonbon dish, with the stem being a frosted naked lady. The glass for the dish part is thick.
Anyone any ideas who made her and when she dates from?

Many thanks.
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

I don't know but perhaps she is French, maybe Bayel?

Hi Tony,  ;D

Wow, this was a long time ago, but I still have her. I also have two other glasses with female stems, which Ivo attributed to Bayel. This lady is vey different, but I don't know if Bayel made different forms and I could never find out. Maybe this time.........  ;)

Just happened to see it on GlassGallery while seaching under '?'. Maybe worthwhile searching with the word 'unknown' too so we, or I, can identify, or try to identify, more glass.

Yes, maybe this time.........  :)

Not from Bayel, the fat lady - but maybe Fostoria...
