I'm so happy for you!  :hb1:

No I haven't got an example of Cato but have got photos of the yellow/black model. A complete fruit set it fact!

But that was well found!  :hiclp:

No. Keith. I got it from a car boot in Marston Green not far from Tamworth.

David.
About six months ago I got this fruit bowl that look like Cato except its plain with no colour strips. Because at the time l did not have a Cato to compare with so l just put it away until now.
This plain Cato has the same flower indent at the base and same diameter and high. Exact same no. of grooves and the positions of grooves are same too. So it is Cato with  no colour strips or gold rim.
Could this bowl be the left over stock after closure?

The original Cato range was announced to the press with the range of coloured stripes, but there is now evidence of Cato with gold lines and plain Cato with floral decoration. The former appears to be a production line, but I'm unsure about the latter as the floral motifs are hand-painted, not transfer. Photos of these will appear in Additions.

It is possible the clear ones were remaining stock, or they simply sold the range without decoration - perhaps to a third-party?
