Satin glass vase - oil on water effect
« on: August 08, 2010, 07:28:39 PM »
A bit worried that I may have wasted 50 whole pennies here. This vase does have a lustre to it, particularly around the brown decoration which has a look of runs of oil. It is smooth/satiny to the touch. It measures 8 3/4ins high, 3 1/8ins across the top rim and 2 3/4ins across the base. I'm really not sure if I like it or not but it caught my eye and much as 50p is a lot of money, it was my birthday last week so I felt like being extravagant. Any thoughts or information would be appreciated. Thanks
Alastair

Thanks for that - still not sure if I should have kept my 50p. Maybe it will make an ideal  brithday gift for someone else.
