possible Chance pattern for id please.

Not sure about the provenance of this plate - the flower (Chrysanthemum I think) is not too dissimilar from the stylized black and white  ish 'Silhouette' pattern  - although that doesn't have a yellow background.   Diameter is 10 inches.  No gold rim to the plate unfortunately, and no sticker of any kind.    Is it some other manufacturer - thanks for looking.

I have my doubts, but a photo of the fluted rim would help. Is it a regular 'wave'?

thanks David  -  am at work presently, and not quite sure about the rim, from memory.   Will look this evening, and let you know.

David - I have checked again, and in fact the 'waviness' is irregular  -  i.e. the 'ups' are separated by considerably longer 'downs' - so I guess it's not Chance.   Don't mind admiting that this aspect of a 'uniform' wavy rim, or not, had escaped me completely.   So today I have learned something new, thanks. :)

The actual design of the flowers is completely different - these flowers are round, pom-pommy shapes, the Chance "Silhouette" ones have much more raggedy and spikey petals, and are in white and black - two "colours", not one.
(I've got a Chance one in front of me to compare)

thank you Sue :)  -  also I think there are a couple of pics. of 'Silhouette' in David's book.   Never mind, just to make up for it, today I found the 'Chariot' in the 'Carriage' series of trays.......only another five to go ;)

I have got quite a few bits in Silhouette - a little more dramatic than the other flowery ones.

I believe the manufacturer of this type of plate with the uneven rim is British, possibly Duro-Ray, and this style is also quite reminiscent of the Astra range (p.93) that has been noted with a Made in England label (poss. Duro-Ray). I've also tracked down an example of the Sunburst pattern in yellow. You will often see this rim style on large circular plates (10in dia?) detailing various tourist attractions. I guess they date post-1980, but very hard to say. These are often a single colour, with gilt on the top side.

Here is one of those touristy plates I mentioned, with the uneven rims: 250681325465 (offered as Chance/Fiesta, but not)
