ID of three paperweight-type heads: Scailmont ?
« on: August 15, 2010, 03:50:38 PM »
Hi is Rodmax2 from Manage Belgium. I found at different times and in various flea markets but in the same region. Three paperweight in molded pressed glass and acid patined. The first seller told me that it comes from Scailmont glassware from a old Scailmont workman from his family but other sellers do not know. There in no signature/mark but the finishing/style of the glass is identical. Before i say it comes from Scailmont, I wonder if another collector has already seen this before ? Noticed the virgin figure is very Art Deco style. Perhaps this comes from England or Germany, I hope it does not come from China. It's strange, I've not seen the same on any web site on pressed glass. I am excited with the idea that it comes from Scailmont and no Elsewhere. Serge.

Mod: This topic has been split from a thread on Scailment glass (in Resolved sub-forum).

I am not sure that the items shown are actually paperweights. They might be ... but for now the main Glass forum seems a better bet for comments.
