Suncatcher? - ID = Pukeberg
« on: December 12, 2005, 01:41:47 AM »
I found this a few weeks back and have been trying to find another like it to ID it. I don't think it's anything very special in terms of maker, but I like it! Has anyone come across these before please? Any suggestions as to maker?

Hi Anne
The central motif on this is the same (i think) as a bock vase / solifleur I have which I think is by Walther.
But I'm having difficulty finding any notes or even a pic of it and its packed away at the mo.

Peter,
Do you mean one like this?

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Thanks Peter and Della. I don't think my suncatcher is from the same stable to be honest.

A similar type of suncatcher on eBay is listed as Kosta Boda, designed by Bertil Vallien. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330231590495

Can anyone confirm or otherwise that mine may be Kosta as well please?

<sigh> another wishful ebay attribution. I could just about believe Lindshammar but not Kosta...

Thanks Ivo, that explains why I couldn't find them anywhere else connected to Bertil Vallien!  >:D

Christine, yours must be from the same maker as well... we'll track 'em down one day!  :P
