Prince Rupert's Drops

Does anyone have any tips on manufacturing a Prince Rupert's Drop?  I may or may not have access to a kiln, though I doubt it.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

There is a lovely presentation set of Prince Rupert's Drops illustrated (No. 236, p68) in Strange & Rare, Glass Circle, 1987.   In the lid is a C18 engraving or woodcut showing them being made and destroyed.

This is the same principle as molybdomancy - dropping molten lead into a bucket of water and then using the resulting shapes for psychic divination.

is this your 'thing' Max...........using the resulting shapes for psychic divination. ....I thought they then stuffed them into cartridges for shooting peasants. :)
