Smiley face suncatcher ? Confirmed as Whitefriars
« on: September 05, 2010, 04:11:41 PM »
Hi all
This suncatcher (the smiley face one) is currently under debate on www.whitefriars.com. Just wondered if any of you guys had seen one before or know who made it. I will post on the Scandinavian glass section too just incase. It's a possible Geoffrey Baxter trial piece but no one is certain. Any info is very greatly received
Thanks Chris

Hi Chris, I've removed the identical posting from Scandinavian Glass because otherwise the information gets put in two places.  We'll try this subject here for a bit and then move over to Scandinavian Glass if you like?   :)

And...here is the link to the discussion on WF.com for others to see: http://www.whitefriars.com/bb_orig/viewtopic.php?t=3928

I can't help thinking this might get more attention in the general glass section, and either remove the Whitefriars from the title, or add a question mark - otherwise there is apparently nothing to discuss.

Reading the thread on whitefriars.com it seems the mystery is solved, or am I missing something?

No still awaiting a call from Peter Archer and its pretty 50/50. Just popped it on here to see if anyone had any ideas.
Cheers Chris :)

Well, in terms of style they don't seem to have much in common, one has subtlety the other is garish and cartoon like.
