I see Pamela has one of these sticks on her Candlestick Site, No. 02410, - unattributed - maybe it came originally as part of a trinket set - but I don't really know.   In terms of make up of glass, it must be very unusual... having, as you can see,  Uranium throughout except an area of the foot, where there is a very clear cut (but irregular) line where the glow ceases, and non U. continues.  It looks very attractive even without the torch, having a sort of rosy tinge merging with the yellowy green.    Height is 115mm/4.5".
Pity its partner was missing.   Anyone have any thoughts to share, and thanks for looking.

The colour is rubina verde     Not very common. I only have beads; the ones on the far left. Scroll down five for a piece on Dave's site http://www.vaselineglass.org/blacklight.html

Paul, your candlestick with its colouring is beautiful... and Christine, I'm terribly jealous of your beads -- they are, by far, the lovliest in the lot of necklaces.

'Rubina Verde' -- I have to remember that term.  :)

thanks for that very quick reply :)......and now that you mention the name, I do recall having seen it in my books previously, and recall that the position of the colours is sometimes reversed (when the description is reversed also).     I'm impatient, and looking quickly through my books the best I can do is page 77 in Ray & Lee Grover's 'Art Glass Nouveau'  -  showing, ironically, a Mary Gregory vase (with red uppermost) and the caption says 'Rubina Verde (red to green).   Does the green have to be U., or can it be simply green glass.  Looking at the vase in the Grover's book the green does not look like uranium.     If mine has the green uppermost, should we correctly call it Verde Rubina?  and are we any nearer to knowing the factory/country of origin.  Thanks again :)
Hello Anik :)  think the beads would look really great on you.

Is Walther a possibility? Dirk posted a Walther Hubertus bowl in a similar colour combination a while ago, see here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,29930.0.html

I'm sure it's been said before on another thread, but these are attributed to S. Reich & Co, Pattern 4749, shown in the 1930 Catalogue, and some people refer to them as Viktoria. They are the shorter alternative sticks version which accompanies some of the Reich Viktoria Sets.
