I have a couple mini pw's from this artist, as well as a couple of buttons. Beautiful work.
Shipped fast and well packed.

I've noticed (and admired) this artist's work on eBay for a while now.  I hope Alexander will post photos too!

Here are a couple of pics of the paperweights, quite rough as I haven't photographed them properly yet, these are from cellphone camera.

The paperweights are 3 cm wide so quite small.

Alexander, your paperweights are charming!  I love the beautiful pastel colors.  Very peaceful to gaze upon indeed.  Am I correct in saying these pretty buttons and weights are by a woman artist?  At less than one-inch, they are tiny treasures!  I appreciate your photos.

Lily :)

Thanks for posting the shots Alexander. Wonderful ! I just can't get over how tiny they are . Each flower just a few millimeters. How difficult must it be to get such detail working on a tiny scale like that ? I'm hooked ! :sun: Thanks again ,Mike.

Hi, I really don't know :)

The artists name is Fujie Kawata.

I seem to recall that the buttons have a long tradition in Japan as ornamental buttons for formal dress.

These gorgeous buttons arrived from Japan over the weekend and I just had to take some photos and post them here . They were sent so quickly and beautifully packaged. They are only 2cm in diameter ! Just superb ! The last three pics are of the same button.
