Monster Antelope? Murano?
« on: September 10, 2010, 11:03:42 PM »
Along with the PK vase I picked this up. Why Im not certain, however it is different. I am leaning toward 50's Murano, but its probably a who knows piece?  It measures 16" in height, the horns are 12 3/4" length over the curves & the weight is a whopping 16 lbs. on the nose. Quite a bit of wear on the bottom. Maybe its a candidate for the largest entry in the glass zoo. Ken

Mod: Ken, I have removed your duplicate post in Murano as otherwise it can get confusing if we get responses in both places, especially if different views are put forward!

Thanks Kev, however it would be best if this were removed from this board & placed back on the the Murano Glass Society board as I made an error posting it here to begin with & did not know how to delete the posting here. If you can do this I would appreciate it. Ken

Hi Ken  :hi:

The Glass Forum (here) is the catch-all place for ID requests when the country of origin is uncertain.  We prefer to try for an ID here first, then we move the request if necessary into a different forum if there is no joy :)  This way there is generally less work for Moderators to do...which we like!

Ibex or Steinbock?

Good question Cathy...those two were among a short list along with a Roan & Impala ram. Ken
