I have this piece in green and clear labeled by Bohemia Crystal Czechoslovakia, I suppose that this pieces are from 70ties manufactred in Jablonecke sklo. I have seen it in citrine and violet. It is not miracle that the production continued in Desna in 90ties, Desna was follower of Jablonske after privatisation.
But anyway, the factory in Desna - formerly Polubny - Polaun, is closed now.

@ Jindrich
Thanks for the informations, I´ll try to find out more..

@ Bonsaismurf
Very nice colour and quality, but in detail I think proportions and the cutting look a bit different from the 50s-Franz Burkert-version; looks like a modern interpretation of a design-classic. Wonder, who made this one.

Meanwhile I searched for a late 50s-photograph (please excuse the poor picture-quality) of an ashtray with the Hessenglas-overlay-rainbow-colour. The one I found is a piece produced by Josef Mitlehner at Kronberg (Hesse nearby Oberursel) and sold by Hesse Glasworks (HG). Mitlehner originated from bohemian Maxov (Unter Maxdorf) nearby Josefuvdul too and was also one founding member of Hesse Glasworks. The designelements relate also definately to the earlier Franz Burkert ashtray, which also was known with the rainbow colour. This piece can be found at Glasmuseum Gernheim/Germany.

The other pictures show another copy with the efforts to imitate the Hessenglas-rainbow-colour-reflections by glewing on a foil at the bottom.

Thanks for all the informations, makes interesting reading.  One question though is mine from the 70s or the 90's do you think?
Merci

Hello Margi,
whats the size of your ashtray?
The Kristallglas GmbH model from the 50s measures exactly 11 cm on each triangle-side (on top).
Later ones are a little bigger; but I have to check this. The late copy with the rainbow-foil measures 12,5 cm.

Your colour could be "Flieder" (english =elder) from Hessenglas.
