No-one likes general adverts, and ours hadn't been updated for ages, so we're having a clear-out and a change round to make the new ones useful to you. These new adverts bring in a small amount to help pay for the board and keep it free for you to use, so please do use them whenever you can, Let our links help you find great books on glass or a new piece for your collection. If sellers do not mention scratches I usually ask.

Somebody told me (or did I read it on the board) that if you rub a little silicone oil on the scratch it will disappear, it will of course reappear if you wash the vase. Maybe a simpler solution than having it polished.

It's not just toddlers that have trouble with small parts you know. ;D

Thanks for the tip, and i hope you have no further trouble with your small parts   :P

Sue, before you consider professional polishing, try a little silver polish on a soft cloth on the scratch. Sometimes very light ones will polish out with that. The pink stuff from Goddards works quite well (comes in a navy blue bottle.)
