ID Help please glass water set and signature on dog
« on: December 19, 2005, 01:28:06 PM »
Good afternoon everyone. I went for a rummage in the attic yesterday and found a couple of things I forgot I had! A glass jug and six glasses, I'd quite like to know maker or at least country and age please and the signature on the bottom of a peculiar glass dog. The dogs colour is actually pale lilac, it came out a dirty colour on the photo. Thanks, Pat.

Jug and Glasses
Very retro - Czech or poss French 50s - great fun but lots of them around.
Hold on a few years more, as more get broken and chucked they may yet come back into fashion.

Dog
Love it !!! Quirky !! but looks amber !!!
Always best to photograph colored glass against white to get the true color.
I can't read the signature - sorry !!!
What do you think it might say ?
Try guessing one letter at a time.
Pete

Well it's definitely M something. The first letter of the surname looks like J or F and then I am stuck.
