It's a nice weight, are you going to post a pic of it for me?

Sure  :or:

Thank you Wuff for putting up the pictures, I knew they were decent ones, that's why I asked you to in a round about way, unfortunateley I lost the originals from my last computer when it crashed and died.

The Barcleys Blue arrived today. In it's Caithness box, it has no engraving on the base of this weight but on the bottom of the box is C2/96. Looking side on the weight is clear in the front and the blue is towards the rear. Very difficult to take a good picture of it but here it is.

Right section, for me at least >:D!
I had noticed your auction, and was going to ask for your permission to use your images for our Caithness catalogue on ScotlandsGlass - would be even better, if you could mail me the higher resolution original images.
Your help would be appreciated!

Here is my latest acquisition of an advertising weight. I thought it was interesting considering the story behind the product. A drug that was supposed to alleviate aches and pains and arthritic conditions and although doing what it said on the tin, in actual fact was later to be found to have rather serious side affects and subsequently withdrawn and banned from use. You can read all about this product if you google the name. Anyway, I thought this made this weight the more interesting. Very difficult to photograph, it is a 3" sphere with the name engraved three times around the top with 5 engraved figures around it in various 'action' poses. The small flat base is also etched across it in small letters with the name backwards when you turn it up but when looking directly down on top of the weight the name appears the correct way round and magnified to the full width of the weight. There is no manufacturers mark.
