Textured clear square tray 50s design? id if possible

Maybe this is a one off - maybe not.

It has a distinctive look so I thought I would give it a go here. It's square 65x65mm. The base shows not that much in the way of wear, so it could be new but I presumed it to be 50s-ish on account of the asymmetric design. The top is smooth with the underneath interestingly textured.

Looks like slumped/fused window glass to me - possibly the result of a student/school project.
