Is this the real thing? Poli or rubbish
« on: October 07, 2010, 06:16:12 AM »
Hi All I am being offered this piece and Alison is attracted regardless of the fact that it is the MOST copied of the SVDA pieces by Poli.

It is quite small and slim (oval)at 170mm (6 3/4") it weighs 425g (14.5oz). It has a feel about it of quality and age but as it is not my area I am stuck.

Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.

The layers don't look crisp enough to me to be Seguso, Ardy. I am more of the opinion that it is Chinese or an equivalent.

Not a Poli but I think Murano...but could be by any maker. I quite like it. The colour looks good in my opinion...
