id confirmation for probably W/Fs bowl
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:08:54 AM »
Would appear to agree with pattern No. 9119 from the 1938 catalogue, although not able to see in subsequent ones.  Diameter is right at 8", and believe colour to be 'Emerald' - has a 'ding' that you could die for.   Unlike later bowls etc., bubbles are surprisingly very unsymmetrical.          Shall appreciate confirmation if someone has the time, and thanks for looking. :)

Wow!  :o  Looks right to me!  Definitely Emerald, I'd say, and the base looks right for the WF bowls produced at that time.  I don't 'do' the bubbled WF, but this one certainly looks a bit 'special' to me!  :D  congratulations!  Nice find!

My thanks to both of you :)  -  It really is an attractive bowl  -  but it's the 'ding' that gets me.......goes on for ever!
