Dears Czech glass friends,
here are the pictures from exhibition of Czech glass just running in Lommel (Belgium).

http://picasaweb.google.cz/Jindra8526/CzechGlassLommel2010#

Lommel can be reached by car from Calais within 2.5 hours even with keeping all speed limits, it has been checked :-)
Exhibition will continue up to the 20th March 2011, photographing is strictly forbiden, I was conditionaly allowed becouse I am Czech and had to travel so far to see this event. I am very happy with this exhibition, it gives great overview about Czech studio glass of last quater of century.
The entrance fee is 3 Euro only.

Adjacent to exhibition hall is glassmaking studio, some conterporary glass can be bought there as well.
I am glad that I have made a little detour on may way back home from UK, I really can recommend to everybody to see it, such complete collection of modern Czech glass can be seen only in Pardubice museum in Czech republic.

The big robot statue, that has no label is designed by Jiri Suhajek (www.jirisuhajek.com), three glassmasters from Ajeto (http://www.ajetoglass.com/en/)had been in Lommel to install it, possibly I will get some pictures from installation as well.

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.
