Help...Italian or Scandinavian glass?

Good morning.
Does anyone know who made this ashtray? Do you think it's Italian or Scandinavian? It's kind of flat, with the opening being edged in red glass.

Seen a few of these described as Murano. Anyone got a definite ID? :?

Chalet is another poss especially as you are in Canada

Chalet could be a possibility but it doesn't look like any piece of Chalet glass I've ever seen.
We have a large Italian community in my city so there's a lot of Murano glass around.
The dish has wear to the bottom which makes me believe it isn't recent.
