Really just another passing nod of thanks to Pamela for sharing her Masterbooks.......and to thank a friend of mine also for pointing out the origin of this water jug.     This is another of those designs that bears similarity to the Inwald/Krystol heavily pannelled and utilitarian style.   In fact this is a water jug from the 'New York' suite produced by the German Streit factory, and is shown first - I believe - in their 1930 catalogue on page 6 (pattern No. 409).
Rather a large footprint, as always with these big jugs, so may not have the room to keep permanently. :)
