Tapio Wirkkala chicken - Is this what it purports to be?

Seen this on the bay & signature had my gut saying 'faked' have trawled the net & can find no references to such a design by Wirkkala.

Any ideas?

That signature looks absolutely clumsy and faked to me, too. At least the spelling is correct.  ;)

Hi I thought you might like to know that IMO you are right to be cautious,  The following 230547838307 was sold as Per Lutken until I intervened, and said I had asked the GMB about it, (there is a link somewhere recently on this site).....the seller said that 'GMB was just a blog site'!!  If you look at the moment there is also a genuine imitation Wedgwood glass bird complete with glass bubbles listed by this seller......!!!!

Yes I saw the Lutken bird LOL their Whitefriars blue glass is IKEA & the Riihimaki they have advertised doesn't look like any I've ever seen!

The chicken looks like Mexican frosted glass. Most of their frosted glass animals are pretty but inexpensive. If the "Tapio" chicken is Mexican, it is excluded from the pretty part. Just inexpensive.
