thanks - personally I avoid cliches like the plague  -  although if ten were only a penny I would buy them :)  -  but seriously, I too see many examples at boot sales, but picked up this one because it seemed unusual with the clear/colour this way round.  I need to try a little cerium oxide/metal polish and a thin bottle brush on this example, and will then see how it looks as a stem vase. :)    No need rosie to keep searching - I think we have proven the point that my combination is not that rare. :thup:

Trouble is Paul....once I get my teeth into something,  I am, as I said, quite tenacious....a bit like a dog with a bone!!! :thud:
