This unsigned vase is one of my favorites, but I am clueless as to its maker. It just doesn't look like anything I've seen here in the States, and most studio glass in the U.S. has an engraved signature. This vase has a polished pontil with no signature and three applied feet with glass inclusions that make them look like little paperweights. It is quite thick, with an outer layer of clear glass. There are tons of bubbles in the upper layer of glass, and scattered bubbles within the body of the vase.
I have seen nothing quite like this, but the internal combinations of glass and enamels and bubbles reminds me of the few pieces of British Isles glass I have been privileged to see. Does this look familiar to anyone? Thanks!
