SV Mark
« on: January 02, 2011, 07:18:50 AM »
Hi all,

I came across a jade glass rotating condiment set over Xmas which had the letters SV on the base. Does anyone know which maker used SV as a mark?

I did not buy the condiment set so I've no photos to show.

Regards

Chris

Happy New Year, Chris  :hi:

Presuming, it could be one like this:

SV is Schmid(t) Verriers, meanwhile also confirmed by Pressglas-Korrespondenz:

Here is my entry into the 'SV collectors' club!  (many thanks to both Siegmar and Shirley Smith for finally solving this mystery!)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info. I wish now I had bought it. If anyone is interested it was in the Quay Antiques Centre at Topsham. Can't remember which floor. It is made of jade glass and consists of a central stand around which is a detachable collar with three bowls, only one of which had a lid. The only other rotating condiment set I know off is the Jacobean one which holds two oil bottles, mustard jar, pepper and open salt.

Also at Topsham I bought a Clarke's No 17 Flower circle base (no shade) and a Price's candle holder. Both of which I will be taking to the Cambridge Glass Fair.

Best wishes for 2011

Here's another example in the jade green glass.  I though I'd posted it here years ago for ID, but now I can't find the thread - so apologies for any duplication.
