The French glass factory d'Albret, started in 1918, by Roger Witking, began making sulfides in 1967 under the name "Cristalleries d'Albret", with Gilbert Poillerat, a noted French sculptor, producing the cameos.

Franklin Mint never produced any paperweights (as far as I know), but commissioned sulphides with Baccarat (and possibly d'Albret as well).

As I understand it, Franklin Mint are not manufacturers - they are a sales organisation. They offer for sale a wide range of 'limited edition collectables' whose manufacture they outsource. Google 'Franklin Mint' and have a look at their website.

Cristal d'Albret are an established French glass maker, who made sulphides for Franklin Mint and others (Jokelson?) from the late 1960s onwards.

I attach the certificate of my Albert Schweitzer sulphide.
