This very organically shaped ashtray needs ID!
Dark blue blending to purple towards the rim, quite massive, one end compressed, other end round, very beautiful actually...
Polished base, 16cm long, 8cm high.
If it had a different colouration my guess would be Czech, but the royal blue makes me think of Murano? (Could be totally wrong once again :) )

Thanks,
Michael

Skrdlovice is possible for this item even if the colours seem a bit unusual. I will post again if I can find a firm attribution, it could be a Veliskova design from the late 50's... but this is slightly speculative at the moment... as you say, a beautifully made thing...

Hi Michael,
I will support Robert, seems to that your piece is from 1960 collection "Elegance" designed by Maria Stahlikova and Marie Veliskova. Pattern number 6019.
I am happy with colour.

Here is my piece

Thank you so much, Robert and Jindrich! Your knowledge is incredible!!

We seem to have an ID here.
Funny thing is that with lighter colours I would immediately thought Czech, but the darkblue/purple combo was new to me. (But if Jindrich is happy with the colours I am even more happy :) )

Anyway, it is a really nice design, Jindrich's blue/clear example is beautiful, too.

Michael
