Geometric vase
« on: January 06, 2006, 09:10:52 PM »
This appears to be a typical Murano geometric shape, but I haven't seen a pale icy blue 'cased' one before.  Also, there is a touch of yellow at the top just along one side, which appears to be there more by accident than design, as it doesn't add to the overall appearance of the piece (it fluoresces slightly under a UV light).  Is it definitely Murano?

Thanks for looking   :P

My initial reaction is not Murano, gut feeling more than anything, mind you with a gut my size I have to listen!
The colouration looks wrong and I doubt it would have been passed for sale with the yellow streak which really looks like an accident.

That's what I thought Paul.  It's more of a Scandi colour, but wasn't sure whether these type of geometric vases were also made there.

p.s.  A little padding around the middle is just what you need in this weather
