Hi,  does anyone recognize this paperweight?  Maker? Age?  Is it a cat or a mouse?  Thanks so much.

Clara, it would be really great if you could upload your photos directly to the GMB using the *Attach* method, which you can find under the box where you type your question or under the Reply box.  Picasa galleries come and go, but GMB uploaded images stay forever and give people years from now the opportunity to see your images.  Without images in the future, a topic is useless for anyone trying to learn about glass.

Also, it would be good to see: a) a clear photo of the label and b) a close-up photo of a section of the decoration covering the change in colours - to see how it is formed.

And the size (height & length) of the piece would be useful, too.

I have seen a lot of these animals. They seem to be made in the style of Galliano Ferro, with their eyes. I call the look "cat (or other animal) on drugs." I've not been able to figure out with any certainty who made them. I would love to know, since they are pretty common.

That funny "flattened" tail, with a sticking up effect, would appear to be more squirrel-like to me.

Thanks, Mods, for the recommendations uploading photos.  Unfortunately, I have had so many problems understanding how to properly attach pictures to this board.  I didn't want to waste everyone's time with a post with no pictures again.  I will ask husband to retake the photos for a larger image of the label.

I so appreciate your help on this board.
