« on: January 20, 2011, 09:53:05 AM »
I have a few weights that I cannot identify, can anyone help? I have attached some pictures and what information I have.
1.Red, Blue, White and Yellow millefiori weight bought at Miss Phillips sale at Liskeard  Size 2 5/16 inches
2.Water Lily, pale pink with 10 yellow stamens and green centre on which sits a small green frog with red and black eyes.
Size 2 1/8 inches
3.Macidoine weight.  Origin unknown.  Thought to be old, barley sugar canes of blue, pink, green and yellow edged in gilt.  Also twisted muslin.  Size 2 3/8 inches x 2 1/16 height.  Bought at Par auction in 1973.
4 A small clear glass weight with a floating red and yellow butterfly with black antennae flying over a green and yellow base which contains 2 red yellow and black canes.  Diam 2 1/16 inches.  Bought at St Trudy 1973.
