Scratched Glass Repair
« on: January 23, 2011, 06:17:44 AM »
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the boards, but wanted to just offer up my area of expertise if any one needs it. I am a professional scratched glass repair tech, and I have an extensive knowledge of scratched glass and pretty much everything pertaining to the subject.

Thanks.
This is an international board, you might be of more use to folk who live somewhere near you on the planet, your actual location might help.

Seems to be for windows though. Will it work on vases and bowls?

When it comes to art glass and bowls as far as what I can do it is on a case by case basis, but there are some good resources out there for art glass restoration. Such as the guys from http://www.montanosglassrepair.com/index.html  Also when it comes to hard water stains, there are some off the shelf products out there you could try, and if those don't work you can always use some cerium oxide mixed with water on a cloth or pad and some elbow grease and it should all clear up. I would suggest washing thoroughly after using the cerium if it is not just an art piece though(not the kind of chemical I recommend consuming ;) Hopefully that helps!
