Thank you. Still don't think this is TVG though

I have some TGV glass birds, and none of them are signed.....I don't think they always signed pieces.  There must be a lot of TVG glass that is unidentified because it has not been signed.

I hope you find the maker or your lovely paperweight Christine.

This: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HAND-BLOWN-GLASS-PAPERWEIGHT-TEIGN-VALLEY-DEVON-RARE-/350434451893?pt=UK_Art_Glass&hash=item51978561b5 looks as though it could be a blue version??  (I know it isn't our favourite seller!)

The pattern of the eBay weight is similar but there are differences.

The eBay weight has tall, quite thick peaks rising from a low ground and the aventurine is large and covers the peaks as well as the ground. The whole thing looks very chunky (and I think the ground is black, not blue).

The peaks in mine and Christine's weights are worked with more finesse into a fine, flattened effect and contain whisps of white, adding to the delicacy of the whole pattern. The ground fills over half the weight.

There is no positive id of the one on ebay - just the seller's attribution.
