Can anyone help please?  The bowl is approx 12 inches in diameter and I've been told that it was purchased in Germany.  No markings I'm afraid.
Thank you

Welcome Jonny
Dartington have done similar ....but not quite the same.
Muurla Lasi of Finland comes to mind but as there's possibly a German connection then Walther has to be a contender.

Please comment on or show a pic of the base.

I have certainly seen items in similar design, e.g. candle holders.  Could it be by Humppilan Lasi, Finland, from the 70's?  Just guessing though...

Marcus, right first time.  I guess the user name kind of gave the game away.

It took me some time to get myself on here but plenty of pieces I need to identify so looking forward to seeing yours and fellow members views/opinions.

Pamela,

If I may, Jon is from Birmingham.

A nice guy with eclectic and informed tastes, and a fine knowledge of design from Poole ceramics, Old Hall stainless steel, Scandinavian furniture and modern design generally.

Also a good and long-time friend.

regards,

Marcus

Pamela, "Brum" (as in jonnybrum) is the colloquial (slang) name for Birmingham.

Welcome to the boards Jon. :)
