Ever heard of Altare?

Thank you Giacomo
Very interesting ! Such a variety of glass !
Collectors would fall over each other in the rush for that tank !

We often see colored glass cased over clear but not so much in those very tall very thin neck shapes. I presume they made other shapes too ?

The engraved glass looks very fine.

Hello everybody,

posting the catalog has proven harder than I though. I could not find a decent free ftp hosting service. If you are still interested, just drop me a line and I will send you a copy. Otherwise, we posted recently a photo of a painting located in the Altare main church, which portrays some glass blowers at work. The latest post is just a map of Europe with the main glass factories founded by Altarese craftsmen.
