Hello all you helpful people on GMB , I was wondering if anyone could give me an id on this glass vase ?? I have here this green glass vase with a tri-ribbed design m which stands at 6 1/2" high , a rim opening of 1 3/4" and 4" across the widest part , signed on the base B1173 , ... I was hoping that this may be an Edward Hald piece , any replies would be much appreciated , and I will thank everyone of you now for help in this item ... cheers Roy  :rah:

Signed like that it may well be an Elis Bergh design for Kosta but that is just a guess, not one I have seen before.

I would suggest you check out Holmegaard as well.  See photos of Pwt by Michael Bang(signed) with a B1719 pattern number but no Holmegaard marking.  Peter Harder agrees it is a Holmegaard piece but had never seen one.  We decided that the B designated the colours and the 1719 the design for my Pwt.

I'd recommend following John's lead, Bergh for Kosta, as, although he understates it, that's how a Bergh piece would have been signed at that time, around 1940, and it has the look of a Bergh piece.
