Hi Robert, I think it's  a Chinese  Millefiori Paperweight. Circa 1930, this is a copy of a French  paperweight made during the classic period from around 1845 to 1860.
I have a couple of them.

It looks contemporary Chinese to me. I see pws like this a good bit in shops and at garage sales. I've given away a few of them that were included with other things I bought.
