Gullaskruf and Riihimaen colour check
« on: January 10, 2006, 11:33:49 PM »
Hi ref thread
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,3723.0.html

lots of discussion but no real answer to the following two questions

This is 16” high and looks like a Gullaskruf vase designed by Arthur Percy (see thread on forum and J Miller 2006 pp331 larger sized one). Any confirmation it is Gullaskruf?
vase

Riihimaen - colour a red brown like a deep red cinnamon any confirmation on colour ref the shape appreciated. I am wondering if it is a known colour or an abberation of red
vase

Thanks

I don't know Adam.  I've got this vase in red, and I don't think I've seen it in your colourway before.  :?

Is this a lift, Adam, the red, or your own images?
If relying on others images, beware, but, there are genuine anomalies out there....

regards.

Hi Marcus

It is my own vase - I bought it just before Xmas, you can really see the difference next to red pieces.

Max thanks also for the info, I am thinking it is colour anomaly as Marcus suggests. It just looks so cinnamon in true light, but with a tinge of red unlike true cinnamon coloured items I have.
