Bought this a while ago, but it recently turned up again online (also not attributed) to remind me I still want to know what it is. I'm wavering between Czech or German. Pressed glass, with a nice pattern on the base as well.

It's 22 cm high, 8 by 8 cm wide.

Any input greatly appreciated,

Astrid

Hi Astrid,
I saw the same vase last week here in Vienna on the fleamarket. So perhaps Austrian is another option (Oberglas)?

Found an Oberglas vase which has a very similar rim to yours: http://www.glaskilian.de/Pressglasvase-Stoelzle-Obergla.779+B6YmFja1BJRD03NzkmTD0xJnByb2R1Y3RJRD0xMjA0NyZwaWRfcHJvZHVjdD03NzkmZGV0YWlsPQ__.0.html
(Nearly bought this one in purple colour last week; quite nice, but not Czech -- so I resisted ;D)

Oberglas sounds like a good candidate - thanks Michael.

The only reason I listed Czech as an option is because I have seen this sort of rim in Czech glass somewhere, but in this particular case the quality and thickness of the glass wasn't the sort I'd expect of Czech, so I think this direction is more promising.
