is this a Lila Vase by Frantisek Peceny?
« on: March 08, 2011, 01:18:43 PM »

  Hi All,

Another vase I picked up in my travels last week. Could anyone confirm (or otherwise refute!)  this is by Frantisek Peceny for Hermanova? sure I've seen it somewhere before but can't find the reference to it!

                           Warmest Wishes,

                                John

Hello,

Though your pictures are a bit 'fuzzy', I do believe your vase is exactly what you think it is, pattern number 20212 from 1972.

Yep 50p!!! I purchased it at a sale I go to every month, get lots of things there ,porcelain ,china, metalware, glass, gold, silver etc all at very silly prices!! last month I got a 17" flatscreen monitor, still boxed, for £3!!! can't wait for the next sale!!!

My, John, what kind of 'sale' is it?  Wonderful Czech glass and electronic equipment, still boxed, all in one place for ridiculously low prices?

Maybe I should consider relocating.  England, afterall,  does have warmer weather than Poland...

Ha, Jindrich, I've already thought of that!  I even tried to convince my husband to move closer to the Czech border  :usd:.  He wasn't very keen on the idea, saying it would take too long for us to drive to work.

There must be some kind of market near the eastern Czech/Polish border where a few of the sellers from the antiques market I go to on Sundays get their glass.  If only I could find out where it is and when... :sm:

   Hi Anik,

The Sale I go to is A monthly Rummage Sale on the south east coast of england! I stay over on friday night so that I get in the Queue early!! lots of donated goods in boxes on the floor, its a real scramble but well worth it!

Jindrich, I always get lots of Lovely Czech/Sklo Union Glass, there is lots available in England but prices are starting to rise as more and more young people discover it!! I NEVER pay more than a couple of pounds for mine, so that I have a very good profit when I sell! ;)

                      Warmest Wishes,

                          John

There was a gorgeous bluey-green bullet vase in the local charity shop last week - the smallest size, marked up at £7. Prices are going up for sure as not long ago they'd have been £3 or £4 in the same shop.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
