I've never seen murrines with faces!!  And Barovier at that!! WOW!! It is lovely Chris.....lucky you!  :sun:

A search on the Board for "face cane" will locate several threads from the past that have discussed similar canes (or murrines).

Some of the past threads have offered China and India as sources of some types of face canes. Ivo's cup (I assume it was the same one) was also mentioned in one of the threads.

There was also an interesting discussion on an ID request where Ancient Egyptian was considered for face canes used as eyes for a "figurine", and a link to a website covering Egyptian face canes in beads was given. But I still think the canes for those eyes were modern!
