Avon Calling! and Fostoria.

Are the milk glass perfume bottles/novelty containers used by Avon for their Cosmetics made by Fostoria Glass Company, USA?

I'm sure these two tall bottles would have contained bubble bath or some such thing from Avon, but they are really pretty and I suppose could  be used as candle holders.  I'm not sure what the purists would think of them, but may be they'll become quite collectable one day

Anne -  Those are florist bud vases.  At least in the US

My Mom still has a cabinet full of them from various occasions.

I don't know which glass company that made them. Maybe Hoosier Glass.

Thanks Connie :P .  They do look as though they've had flowers in them over a period of time judging by the insides.  Goodness knows how I'll clean them    Do you have any idea of how old they could be?   I've not heard of Hoosier - but will do a google

I know they go back to at least the 1970s. I remember the milk glass ones when I was in high school. They also made them in clear.  I think I might have a clear one up in the top of my kitchen cabinet

You know its amazing when you think of all the glass containers and other items put out by the Avon company. That gets one to thinking, who made all this stuff? I know of some that can be definately said to be made by Fostoria, but so much of it is just called Avon and let go.
Now one item they had produced, or I should say a range of items has always intrigued me.

I know the seller says Fenton, but I am wondering if that is just bluff. Anyone have definate proof Fenton made this? Thanks Terry

I have never seen documentation that it was made by Fenton.

It seems somewhat unlikely because it is not like any other Fenton item.

It looks more like Kanawha's work but I don't know if they made bottles for Avon either  :?

I'm still googling  and looking on eBay auctions - anything to do with Avon and will get back.
