Anchor Hocking - Stars and Bars - Numbers on Bottom?
« on: March 24, 2011, 09:41:22 PM »
I know the Stars and Bars are kind of the low end of the milk glass collecting. But, I'm trying to learn everything I can about milk glass. Pro's, Con's, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, History, Patterns, etc...

So, that being said. I noticed The Stars and Bars Bud Vases have numbers on the bottom. Anyone know what these mean? Is it like a ... collection date? like a year or decade they were produced? just a guess. Anyone know?

Hard to say for sure without seeing what kind of number it is. But on a piece like this I would expect it's probably a mold number.

Yeah. That would make sense. Cause the number sticks out. Its not drawn on or chipped in. Thanks : :hi:
