Holmegaard / Cascade Glass ???
« on: March 31, 2011, 01:46:27 PM »
Can anybody help me with this vase I have recently acquired. It is very similar to a 1970's Cascade Glass bottle vase I already own.

Any information appreciated.

Cascade Glass (England), as far as is known, only made Kastrup-Holmegaard's gulvvase design - no other KH designs have been found by them.

Your vase also looks to have a polished pontil mark, which would seem to discount Cascade Glass as a manufacturer, as they seem to have specialised in machine-pressed and autoblown glass (with only some small degree of hand-finishing).

Yes, it does have a pontil mark. Here it is again next to my Cascade Gulvvase.
